Co-design
Ferriere di Stabio has high competencies in co-design of complex components through FEM simulation. This occurs through the generation of 3D assembly models from "step" files from customer design and calculation and sizing of fastening components.
Engineering
Ferriere di Stabio has deep experience in cold forming processes. This know-how is applied in tooling design and in forming and deformation processes. These activities are supported by FEM simulation tools, and are also applied to the design of processes realized with cold forming followed by secondary operations. This is an intelligent and economical alternative to pure mechanical machining: FDS is able to design custom solutions according to each customer's needs.
R&D
Research and Development is the key to Ferriere di Stabio's approach to innovation. This mindset is essential to maintain the highest level of service required by a constantly changing market. The main activities are focused on the development of exotic materials and superalloys; design of coatings and assembly strategies; optimization of fastener performance through ultrasonic measurement at customer assembly lines.
